Like I have said extensively in the past, the Indianapolis Colts still have a chance at winning their division this year. But they need help.

The two teams ahead of the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South are the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans. Both teams play this week as the Colts and the last place Jacksonville Jaguars are on bye.

Denver Broncos

Colts fans should be hoping for a Denver Broncos home win versus the division leading Texans. The Broncos are 1.5 point favorites at home against a Houston team that has won 5 straight. The Broncos have failed to win 5 out of their last 6 games after starting out 2-0, and with the departure of receiver Demaryius Thomas, the Broncos will need their younger pass catchers to step up to beat Houston.

Rookie running back Phillip Lindsay will need a big game for the Denver offense, and the Broncos defense will need to shut down Houston’s Deshaun Watson to DeAndre Hopkins connection for any chance to win.

Dallas Cowboys

The second place Tennessee Titans have a Monday night match up in Dallas as they take on Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys. Dallas is a 4-point favorite at home. The Titans are 3-4, half a game up on the Colts for second place in the division. A loss for Tennessee here would force a tie between the Titans and Colts for second place.

The Cowboys and Titans are both having disappointing seasons. Both teams are under .500, but have a shot to win their divisions. The Cowboys just traded for wide receiver Amari Cooper and he figures to be the top weapon for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. Indianapolis Colts fans should hope for a big game from Cooper.

With a loss from both the Titans and Texans, the Indianapolis Colts can move up in the division without even playing a game this weekend. However, the Colts need to win a lot of games to close the season to make the playoffs.

But they will always take some help from their division rivals.
