Interior Defensive Line

Denico Autry had a great game on Sunday. He most definitely had a career day in which he recorded 7 tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles. The Jaguars game was a breakthrough game for him.

On the flip side, Margus Hunt tallied only a single tackle on Sunday for possibly his worst performance of the year.

After rewatching the game, it showed that Autry and Hunt forced Jaguars QB Cody Kessler to scramble quite often. I was not able to find where they put on a specific move to get to the quarterback. In most situations, they simply used their strength to push the opposing lineman back into the pocket and into Kessler, forcing him to scramble.

I believe the Colts could see some upgrade at the interior defensive line spot. Consistency has killed the Colts this year when it comes to the interior line. Players like Ed Oliver out of Houston or Jeffery Simmons from Mississippi State could provide a boost on the interior defensive line, if Chris Ballard decided to address this issue in the first round.
