Caitlin Clark continues to draw attention despite having missed action since July 15 due to a groin injury.

It's obvious a player is having a major impact on a sport when their name is being brought up during a game they aren't even playing in, which is exactly what happened during ION's Friday night broadcast of the Indiana Fever-Dallas Wings match-up.

The Fever walked away with a big win behind Kelsey Mitchell's 23-point performance, yet analyst Tiffany Bias Pelton made a comparison between Paige Bueckers' and Clark's rookie seasons.

This analysis made by Pelton was in regards to Bueckers' playing style not being similar to that of Clark's, which is okay. No two players are alike and they each bring different strengths to their teams. What raised questions was that the graphic providing stats on each player didn't correlate with the thoughts she shared.

"You can tell they are two different styles of players. Paige is getting people involved. Caitlin's more looking for her shot," said Pelton.

However, it was shown to the audience that Clark actually averaged three more assists per game than Bueckers has so far in her rookie season. In fact, Clark broke the WNBA's single-game assists record (19) which happened to be against Bueckers' Dallas Wings.

Clark also shattered the league's season assists record finishing her first year with 337 of them, surpassing Alyssa Thomas' record (316). There is no questioning the immediate impact that Bueckers has had in her young career. That's one trait that her and Clark both have. They both came into the league and quickly put the WNBA on the map after having massive collegiate careers.

The numbers still prove however, that Clark is very much a team player, meaning she tries to spread the ball around to her teammates. She is known as one of the league's best passers leaving audiences stunned with her lethal ability to find her teammates on the other end of the floor. No one does it like Clark. The observation made by Pelton raised the eyebrows of some fans on social media.

Both players will undoubtedly continue to have astronomical influence on the WNBA throughout their careers. Bueckers and Clark will always bring in more money and larger audiences from all over the world.

Bueckers returns to game action Tuesday against the New York Liberty while Clark's return remains in question as the Fever play the Los Angeles Sparks Tuesday for the second game of their west coast trip.
