WNBA legend Diana Taurasi has shared that Caitlin Clark should be the next player with a Nike signature shoe. “My kids will be wearing it,” Taurasi told reporters. That’s an endorsement that carries a lot of weight coming from one of the league’s all-time greats.

But don’t worry, the wheels are already in motion. Earlier this year, Nike CEO Elliott Hill confirmed that Clark’s signature shoe and personal logo are actively in development. "We had Caitlin Clark in today... she was in yesterday, working on her signature shoe that will launch. We are working on her logo and her design of her logo." Hill confirmed what fans suspected: her signature shoes are in the oven.

So far, fans have seen Clark wear customized Nike Kobe Protro PEs in Indiana Fever colors, but no official release date for her signature model has been announced.

Sources close to the development suggest that the release timeline could follow Nike’s typical two-year design cycle, with a launch expected in the spring or summer of 2026. Sneaker expert Nick DePaula estimates Clark’s eventual line could evolve into a $100 million business (possibly even reaching nine figures over time) with the scale and impact rivaling top NBA signature releases.

Beyond the Shoe

The Caitlin Clark Effect is real. Clark’s influence extends far beyond the hardwood. Her arrival to the WNBA has helped the Indiana Fever break attendance records, increased national TV ratings, and driven millions of dollars in local economic activity.

Nike’s success with WNBA signature shoes is clear. The A’ja Wilson “A’One” shoe that sold out in minutes and limited-edition WNBA drops suggest there’s a growing market for women’s basketball lifestyle products and merch. Clark’s presence is part of a larger shift in the visibility of women’s sports, with Nike playing a key role in amplifying that momentum.

Clark’s endorsement deal with Nike is an 8-year, $28 million contract, including her signature shoe and custom logo, the most lucrative shoe deal in women’s basketball history. Nike outbid major competitors Adidas, Under Armour, and Puma to secure the CC partnership, co-signing their confidence in her growing marketability and star power.

From Michael Jordan to Sabrina Ionescu, athletes with signature shoes have carved unique places in sports history. Caitlin Clark is well on her way.

Soon, her name will appear on sneaker boxes from Indianapolis to Tokyo, marking a new chapter not just for her career, but for the WNBA as a whole. Taurasi’s recent comments have only amplified interest and excitement in the upcoming shoe. Whether the shoe drops in 2026 or later, Caitlin Clark’s signature sneaker is already on track to be one of the most anticipated releases in women’s sports.
