LeBron James and Steve Nash couldn't say enough positive things about the Indiana Pacers on the Mind the Game podcast. They discussed the intricacies of Rick Carlisle's system, explaining how Indiana has overwhelmed their opponents by causing constant uncertainty.

Nash, in particular, displayed a level of excitement that should have fans everywhere rushing to watch Game 2 of the 2025 NBA Finals.

The future and current Hall of Famers are as qualified as any to discuss the matter of offensive brilliance. Not only do they have six MVP awards between them, but they're widely regarded as two of the greatest facilitators in NBA history.

During a recent episode of the Mind the Game podcast, Nash couldn't contain how impressed he is with the offensive sets that the Pacers have been executing.

Two of the greatest minds in the history of the sport gushing over the creativity and precision with which Indiana executes is everything one could ask for from Mind the Game.

Steve Nash can't contain his excitement over Pacers' offensive innovation

Indiana's success has been fueled in large part by its uncanny ability to keep opposing defenses guessing. It ranked No. 9 in the NBA in offensive rating during the regular season, as well as No. 3 in field goal percentage and No. 8 in assist percenage.

That all only scratches the surface of what makes this team special, however, as their situational execution is set up by the foundation they lay earlier in the game.

Indiana is in constant motion, sending all five players on assignments that keep opposing defenses guessing from the beginning to the end of a possession. They also initiate sets from angles that most teams wouldn't dare, thus preventing conventional standards from deciding their limitations.

With Tyrese Haliburton, one of the best passers and facilitators in the NBA, leading the charge, the Pacers are redefining modern offense.

Carlisle and Indiana are far from the only coach and team bringing innovation to the table in 2025, of course. As James and Nash pointed out, however, they're utilizing their creativity in ways that must be applauded, if not incorporated into other systems.

That's one of the major reasons the Pacers have managed to erase deficits in an almost unprecedented manner during the 2025 NBA Playoffs.

Indiana competes on both ends of the floor for 48 full minutes, which is enough to put pressure on the most poised of teams. When that pressure includes constant innovation and team-first shot creation, there isn't a moment during which the opposition can successfully coast toward victory.

Whether a Pacers fan or otherwise, James and Nash only needed 80 seconds to show why every basketball enthusiast should be watching Indiana.
