5. Some people in the Boston media seem to view the Colts as a minor annoyance and believe that they will be blown out much like last years meeting. Is that the general consensus of the fans? Are the Colts being taken seriously?
Many do feel this way, though one has to realize that anyone can win on any given day in the NFL. Some fans may be viewing the Colts in such a light, but the Patriots understand they cannot overlook Andrew Luck.
Luck led an incredible comeback last week against Kansas City and has emerged as one of the game’s top signal-callers. Therefore he and the Colts in no way can be discounted.
At the same time though, viewing the Colts, as a “minor annoyance” can be argued as justifiable given the track record of Brady and Belichick. Their experience, their 17 playoff wins as a tandem and the three Super Bowl titles make for immediate intimidation.
When assessing the Colts Wild Card win, some view it as a great comeback and others consider it a putrid collapse on the part of the Chiefs. A veteran savvy New England club will not allow a comeback of such nature. With that being said, Indianapolis will have to play a near perfect game.
