What position battle(s) was the most exciting during Colts Camp?

Scott Stewart (@scostew):

I think the position battle at wide receiver has been my favorite so far. Obviously Hilton and Johnson take the top two spots, but the Colts have a load of players that can compete for the third and fourth spot, and right now Donte Moncrief and hopefully Duron Carter will see a lot of snaps.

Andrew Turpen (@ATplace2be):

Wide receiver. As expected, it has been exciting to see the progression of Philip Dorsett and Duron Carter at training camp. I’m not sure the depth chart will be used like it normally would have been (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4). Rather, given that Dorsett represents blinding speed and Carter represents height and length, I believe that this duo will be used differently depending on the situation.

Pierre Wilson (@pwee31):

I still say it’s the 3rd WR battle. Many assumed it would be Donte Moncrief, or even 1st round pick Phillip Dorsett, but Duron Carter is making an impression as well. So many options for Andrew Luck……please offensive line, PLEASE!

Dave McKee (@thedavemckee):

It’s unanimous, the battle for the 3rd wide receiver position was by far the most exciting of Colts Camp just as we predicted.  It’s obvious that Hilton and Johnson are locks as 1 & 2.

It was expected that one or two players would set themselves apart and the competition would taper down. Instead, three receivers are now vying for the 3rd WR role and the competition appears to be ramping up. Phillip Dorsett and Duron Carter are the two players who gained the most press at wide receiver. The rookies performed so well that Donte Moncrief seemed an afterthought.

However, Moncrief also had a very strong camp and looks much improved from his rookie year. Currently, Moncrief is listed on the second-team along with Dorsett. With all that said it’s easy to see why this was the most fun and exciting position battle of Colts Camp.
