Final Thoughts on the Future of Notre Dame’s Season

Remember Irish fans, we can celebrate now, but Malik Zaire is done for the season and the reigns of this team lie with a sophomore. Kizer finished the game  8-of-12 for 92-yards and two touchdowns. He may not have felt the pressure at that moment but, the season is still young.

It will take some great coaching by head coach Brian Kelly to keep Kizer poised, informed and ready each week. Virginia will not be the toughest team Kizer will face this season. According to Brian Kelly, he believes that Kizer can lead Notre Dame to the promised land. Former Super Bowl Champion quarterback Trent Dilfer also praise Kizer:

Remember Irish fans, Notre Dame is more than a fallen running back (Tarean Folston) and a fallen quarterback. Without Zaire, The Irish still have 12 players on the roster who are on the NCAA preseason awards watch list. They still possess a stellar defense -one of the best in the country – and they will rebound from their lackluster second half performance. With Kizer who knows. Perhaps he will have even more tricks up his sleeve as he lead the Irish to even more victories.

Kizer will get his first career start on Saturday, September 19th at 3:30 pm. For more #F16HTINGIRISH coverage, be sure to check back here at Ink on Indy.
