Indiana Hoosiers
The Indiana Hoosiers return to the hardwood tonight, fresh off an 88-49 victory over Eastern Illinois in the season opener.

Indiana displayed a balanced attack, that saw six Hoosiers score in double digits, led by sophomore guard James Blackmon Jr. JBJ put up a team high 17 points and chipped in 7 rebounds in a game in which IU cruised.

Expect the Hoosiers to cruise again tonight, when they face the Austin Peay Governors in an opening round game of the Maui Invitational. IU opens as a 28 point favorite in a game that has an over/under of 153 points. Those opening lines should result in another strong performance for the Hoosiers, ahead of the Championship Round of the Maui Invitational, November 23rd in Hawaii.

This could have the feel of an exhibition game, as the Hoosiers are expected to roll. Indiana will look to fine-tune an already potent offense, and continue to implement freshman big man Thomas Bryant into the uptempo offense. Look for Bryant to have a big game, along with the likes of Yogi Ferrell, Troy Williams, and Blackmon Jr.

Before Hawaii, Indiana squares off against Creighton Thursday in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. An upcoming annual eight-game series played between the Big Ten and Big East conferences.

Austin Peay
The Governors opened their season with an 80-41 defeat at #18 Vanderbilt. They were led in scoring by senior guard Khalil Davis, with 10 points.

Austin Peay only has six upperclassmen on the roster, which could result in some growing pains this year. One of those upperclassmen is returning senior Chris Horton. Horton averaged 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Governors last season, but only shot 3 of 14 for 7 points in their season opener. Horton did manage to pull down 14 rebounds, and will be the main guy the Hoosiers need to keep in check tonight.

The Governors also have three juniors that will be returning to the Hoosier State in Terrell Thompson (Warren Central HS), John Murray (North Central HS), and Kenny Jones (South Clay HS).

The Hoosiers defeated the Governors 107-61 in the only meeting between the two schools, back on December 11th, 1992.
