The Indiana Fever put on quite a show for fans against the Dallas Wings Sunday, and Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston were at the heart of it. The duo, who are well known for their on-court chemistry and friendship, helped lead the team to a new league record of 64 points in the first half of a game, the most of this season so far.
The Fever soared ahead of the Wings during the second quarter, when the team collectively added 36 points and held Dallas to 15. Clark hit her fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 13 assists, while Boston passed Candice Dupree to become the sixth all-time rebounder in franchise history.
The pair were also on hand for postgame media availability, where they were asked if the game was fun — a question they both readily agreed to.
Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston were fast friends
The friendship between the pair began to blossom after Clark was drafted to the Indiana Fever in 2024 — Boston had joined the team only the year before. The pair's roles on the team necessitated that they learn to understand one another and quickly, a feat they managed to pull off — and one that was largely responsible for the Fever's playoff appearance last year.

It's become even more apparent how close they are this season. Despite the fact that she has missed 10 games with two different injuries, if she wasn't in a game Clark was always on the sidelines, cheering on the team and making sure to crash Boston's press conferences to hype her up whenever possible (like after the team beat the Lynx in the Commissioner's Cup).
Clark also drafted Boston as her first pick ahead of the 2025 All Star Game. Boston later admitted that she wasn't exactly surprised by the selection, mostly because she had asked for it ahead of time.
"Honestly, when they said she was captain, I was in the back, and I was like, 'Pick me, pick me, pick me!' Boston explained to reporters following the team's practice at Gainbridge Fieldhouse last Thursday. "And she just started laughing."
The Indiana Fever will next head up to Connecticut to have a rematch with the Sun on Tuesday, July 15, and then will head to Brooklyn to meet the Liberty at Barclay's on June 16. After that, most of the team gets a little break during All Star — except for Clark and Boston, who will be joined by teammate Kelsey Mitchell when they take on Team Collier.
